Standard size or made-to-measure: how to choose?
Our standard sizes fit most ordinary windows and install quickly. If your window matches one of our available dimensions, it is a simple, fast solution. If your window has non-standard dimensions, made-to-measure is the way to go: a curtain that is too narrow leaves gaps that reduce soundproof performance, let air seep in at the sides, and create light halos despite a 100% blackout fabric, even under optimal installation conditions. Made-to-measure eliminates all these problems by covering your opening exactly, with a recommended side overhang of 15 to 20 cm.

Does it actually work against noise?
Traffic, conversations under the windows, a busy street: the Maison Curtains soundproof curtain helps cut the outdoor noise that comes through the covered opening. Comfort and a proper curtain in one panel. Up to 22 dB attenuation in optimal install and test conditions. What you hear at home still depends on the noise, how fully the opening is covered, and the hang.
Is it really 100% blackout?
Yes. The three-layer 620 g/m² cloth blocks 100% of visible light and UV. For a complete black with no leak at the sides, made-to-measure lets you cover the whole window.
Does it actually keep the heat in?
The 3-in-1 curtain is a dense 620 g/m² three-layer panel. It cuts draughts at the window and helps keep indoor heat in — it is not a substitute for wall insulation. Coverage and hang matter as much as the cloth.
Does it block bass, trucks, upstairs neighbours?
No, and no textile does. Bass frequencies and vibration (a subwoofer, engines, impact noise) travel through the building: only the mass of a wall stops them. The curtain works on airborne mid-to-high noise, not on vibration.
Will my pole hold this curtain?
The curtain is dense (620 g/m²): a panel weighs several kilos depending on size. Use a stout pole or a track fixed into a load-bearing support. Tension poles will not hold the weight over time.

How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes 6 to 11 business days, Monday to Friday. You get an email at each step, with tracking as soon as it leaves.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash at 30°C, delicate cycle. No tumble dryer. Iron on low, reverse side. Performance holds after washing.
Can I return it?
30-day returns. Manufacturing defects can be returned or exchanged free of charge. Made-to-measure cannot be returned for change of mind — that is what the Exact-Fit Guarantee is for.
